Treatment of the lower face and neck is gaining more popularity among physicians.
Still considered an off label treatment in experienced hands it can correct marionette folds (the unpleasant folds that start at the corner of your mouth), the jowls and neck lines causing the so called “turkey neck”.
Treatment of the platysmal bands (neck) gives good results by itself or in combination with fillers and/or tightening procedures and peels.

The injections are superficial and the physician can isolate the muscle so the possibility of diffusion into other muscles is eliminated.

Botox is used in Gyn, Otolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Neurology for different conditions. In these instances larger amounts of toxin are utilized and the potential for severe complications is higher.
