How It Works

Laser hair removal is a non-surgical treatment that reduces unwanted body hair using Diolaze™ laser energy. The surrounding skin and tissue remain unharmed, resulting in a comfortable procedure for most patients. Several treatment sessions are typically necessary to achieve the desired hair reduction results.
How It Works
Before a laser hair removal procedure, a topical anesthetic is applied to prevent pain and discomfort. The handheld Diolaze™ laser device is then moved across the targeted area, disabling targeted hair follicles in the active growth state.
BLU-U® Light Therapy
BLU-U® light therapy is an effective treatment for acne vulgaris. The blue light produced by the BLU-U® device destroys Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes), the bacteria responsible for breakouts. BLU-U® light therapy can also target the abnormal cells that cause actinic keratosis, a common precancerous condition characterized by rough, scaly lesions that are caused by sun damage over time.
How It Works
During the procedure, a topical photosensitizer called Levulan is applied to the skin and left for an incubation period. The time varies depending on the severity of the actinic keratoses being treated. Levulan is made of aminolevulinic acid (ALA), a natural substance found in the body. After incubation, the Levulan is activated by exposure to the narrow-band blue light waves emitted by the BLU-U® light source. Patients may experience sensations of warmth, tingling, or burning during this part of the treatment.
Fotona for Smoother Skin
Fotona can be used for laser skin resurfacing to provide smoother, more youthful skin. Ablative (tissue removal) or non-ablative (no tissue removal) wavelengths can be used depending on your aesthetic goals. Laser resurfacing is an excellent option for patients who wish to treat signs of aging without surgery.
Recovery and Results
Photorejuvenation treatments generally do not require downtime, but patients are advised to avoid direct sun exposure temporarily. The length of the healing period varies depending on the technologies used. Some patients prefer to take one or two days off work to rest at home. Results can be long-lasting, but some treatments require regular maintenance.
