A clear complexion is important and can have a significant impact on a person’s appearance and self-image. At Park Avenue Medical Spa, we offer treatments for acne, uneven pigmentation, signs of aging, and poor skin texture to give you smooth, radiant skin.
During your consultation, Dr. Tchelebi will examine your skin, discuss your goals with you, and develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your needs.
Pigmentation Concerns
Hyperpigmentation, brown, and red spots can occur due to age and sun damage. Light therapies can be used to address these concerns and provide a more even skin tone. BBL™ BroadBand Light and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments use specific light wavelengths to gently heat the outer layers of the skin. The thermal reaction stimulates the production of new collagen and encourages cell turnover. Downtime is minimal, and the effects of these treatments are typically long lasting.
Acne
Acne can be a persistent and frustrating condition that is caused by oils and bacteria getting trapped in the pores. Inflammation and infection cause blemishes that may lead to scarring. Here at Park Avenue Medical Spa, we can tailor an acne treatment plan to your needs to ensure that you achieve optimal results. Several options are available, but the procedure(s) chosen will depend on several factors, including your skin tone and the severity of your condition.
Signs of Aging and Poor Texture
Fine lines, wrinkles, and rough texture can make your skin look dull and unhealthy. Chemical peels can remedy these concerns by removing the outer layers of damaged skin. Chemical peels are available in different strengths to treat cosmetic imperfections at various depths in the skin.
Superficial Peels
Superficial, or light peels, are usually performed to help brighten the skin and soften fine lines. Using substances like glycolic or lactic acid, light chemical peels provide minimal exfoliation and require no downtime.
Intermediate Peels
These peels usually use a solution of trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and are performed to improve the appearance of moderate wrinkles. Immediately after your chemical peel, your skin may be slightly red and sensitive. Your skin will peel for about one week after your treatment, revealing a smoother, brighter complexion once the peeling is complete.
Deep Peel
Deep peels are performed to treat deep wrinkles and scars. Deep chemical peels typically require two weeks of recovery time, during which your skin may crust and scab over. Your skin may be pink or red for a few weeks, but this can be covered with makeup.
