BOTOX® Cosmetic is a neurotoxin that temporarily relaxes the muscles responsible for facial expressions, immobilizing them. Dr. Tchelebi at Park Avenue Medical Spa is certified in medical esthetics and specializes in cosmetic injections, including BOTOX® Cosmetic. During your consultation, Dr. Tchelebi will determine the precise location for your injections. A numbing cream may be used for your comfort during treatment. The injections will be made in several points of the face for optimal results.
Patients can return to most of their normal activities immediately after treatment but should avoid strenuous activities for 24 hours. Slight swelling, redness, and bruising may occur but should resolve in about one week.
The initial results of BOTOX cosmetic injections will be apparent immediately and will refine over the next one to two weeks. The effects of the neuromodulator can last for up to six months. Regular maintenance treatments will be needed to prolong the results, but many patients report that their results last longer with repeated treatments.
