If so, Dr. Tchelebi may recommend skin needling therapy with our Dermapen treatment. This advanced technology utilizes a series of needles which vertically pierce the skin with an automatic vibrating function. As the device is moved across the skin’s surface, natural collagen reproduction is simulated and fine channels are created in the skin. Because these channels can carry up to 80% more topical nutrients, the process’s active ingredients are absorbed at an increased rate, simulating repair and ultimately leading to faster resurfacing results.
The Dermapen is a safer, more effective treatment than traditional skin needling rollers because it causes less trauma and has minimal epidermal (skin) damage. In fact, it is even safe to use the Dermapen in more sensitive areas such as around the eyes and lips and on the nose.
Dr. Tchelebi usually suggests a series of four Dermapen treatments roughly three weeks apart. Post-treatment, the use of Environ’s B-active Sebuwash and Vitamin A, C, and E Body Oil is recommended to help promote healing of the treated areas.
