Well, topical antioxidants (placed on the skin) have shown to neutralize free radicals. If you’re wondering what free radicals are, they are unstable atoms that can damage cells, which cause illness and aging. Specifically, free radicals can cause fine lines, wrinkles, laxity, discoloration, and even skin cancer. Unhealthy processed foods, alcohol and air pollutants/UV rays can cause free radicals, so it’s important to combat these with antioxidants.
