How Does Fotona 4D® Work?

This treatment uses dual laser wavelengths to tighten and resurface skin for a refreshed, lifted appearance. This innovative technique uses four separate steps to lift and rejuvenate facial tissues from the inside out.

  • Step 1: The Fotona 4D® treatment begins inside the mouth, where laser energy is used to stimulate collagen production around the jawline and mouth. Expression lines and nasolabial folds will also be reduced during this step.
  • Step 2: Deeper lines and pigments are then targeted to improve skin texture and complexion.
  • Step 3: A brushing technique is then used to safely and quickly apply heat energy to create a tightening effect. This results in firmer and more lifted skin.
  • Step 4: A light laser peel is performed to address surface imperfections.

There is no downtime required following Fotona 4D® non-surgical treatments, so you can feel free to return to your daily activities directly after treatment. Some mild redness and swelling may occur but should resolve over the next couple of days. You can feel free to apply makeup 24 hours after your treatment. Most patients will see immediate improvement following treatment, with final results gradually appearing over 2-3 months. A series of treatments is often required for optimal results, after which ongoing improvement may continue for 9-10 months due to the regeneration of collagen and elastin in the skin.
